Hops & Hardware Distillery

Branding, Identity, Print Design, Illustration, Art Direction.

Hops & Hardware Distillery is a new distillery and restaurant based in historic Bristol Borough, Pennsylvania. Offering Pennsylvania craft spirits, inventive cocktails, house-made liqueurs, and small plate food options inside their new taproom and their outdoor garden area.

Their first offering is Hardware Vodka; Made with 100% non-GMO corn and carbon filtered to perfection. Gluten-Free, Kosher & Allergen-Free.

I partnered with owners Denise and Charles to create an overall branding system, packaging design, and print collateral pieces. Taking inspiration from a previously designed logotype, we explored creating the identity centered around prohibition-era visuals, mixed with classic hardware store signage from the early 20th-century, and a bit of a modern touch.

Hops & Hardware Distillery is offering a novel way to enjoy a cocktail with their “Drilled Oranges”. Using a specialized machine the orange is blended leaving behind nothing but fresh juice to add your preferred liquor to. I was asked to create an illustration to be used for promotional materials and marketing initiatives for this new and exciting product.

Brand Guide

As part of the overall brand system, I developed a comprehensive guide to allow easy access to brand colors, typeface pairings, logo usage guidelines, and brand assets. This guide can be used both by the business and external vendors to properly present the Hops & Hardware Distillery brand.
