Moss Mill Brewing Company is a family-friendly microbrewery located in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. They wanted to do something special for their first 16-ounce can release and opted to partner with the Philadelphia Eagles Autism Foundation to both celebrate Philly pride and help out a great cause. The design was centered around vintage Eagles imagery and colors while highlighting their specialty hop blend of 6 unique hop varieties. I created the design based on a combination of current Eagles branding, vintage Eagles branding (circa 1970), and the signature “Kelly Green”.

Promotional T-Shirts were also printed featuring the can’s central “Da Birds” logo to support the release.

The design was entered in the Craft Beer Marketing Awards in early 2020 for the “Best 16oz Can Design” Category:

When Moss Mill Brewing Company set out to design a 16oz can label to promote The Eagles Autism Foundation we knew we had to do something special. We partnered with a local organization to license the name "Da Birds" and worked hard to create a label that would speak to the prowess of the team's heritage. The stylized eagle holding the blue puzzle piece is a familiar call back to their old logo and the support for a great cause. The use of the team's retro font and recognizable "Kelly Green" color, coupled with faux-distressing completes the label's throwback style. The yard lines predict a future touchdown, further fueling Philadelphia's unwavering pride. For this beer, we also created a customized E.A.G.L.E.S. hop-blend to further drive home the connection to the organization. Da Birds is both a beer and label that locals can stand behind, not only because of its nostalgia, but because its sales directly support the Eagles Autism Foundation.
